Who is responsible for my data?

Dr Ikhalia Cyber Bootcamp (DICB) is the training brand. Bookings and payments for DICB events in Kenya are handled by BloctoSearch International Ltd, Nairobi, which is the data controller for everything described here.

What do you collect?

Your name, email address, phone number, job title and organisation, and the details of your booking. If you register through LinkedIn or Eventbrite, we receive the same details from them. Card and M-Pesa details go to Paystack, not to us.

What do you use it for?

• Confirming your booking and sending joining instructions
• Issuing your receipt, invoice and certificate of attendance
• Transferring your seat to a colleague if you ask us to
• Answering your questions
• Telling you about future DICB sessions. Reply to any email, or write to us, and we stop.

Who do you share it with?

Paystack for payments, Jotform for reservation forms, Eventbrite and LinkedIn where you registered through them, our email provider, and the venue for access and catering numbers. Nobody else. We do not sell or rent your details.

How long do you keep it?

Booking and payment records for seven years, as Kenyan tax and accounting rules require. Contact details for future sessions until you ask us to stop.

What can I ask for?

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent where consent is the basis. Email contact@drikhalia-cyberbootcamp.com and we respond within seven days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, Kenya.
